Scott Woodford - Sisters Community Development Dierector
Scott gave us a great update on the current state of Sisters Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) and the process it follows to get approved. The UGB is a plan for how Sisters can grow over the next 20 years. It is still being developed but the current plan is for Sisters to grow on the east side of the city. Sisters population is projected to double over the next 20 years. The basic process is for the city to propose a plan which goes to the county for approval and then final approval happens at the state level. There are an impressive number of considerations like preserving farm and forest land. There are still many months of work before the new plan is finalized with the state.
