Nov 21 – Steven Remington is the Development Director for Council on Aging. They are mostly known for the Meals on Wheels pro- gram, but are involved in many other efforts on behalf of our aging population.
Steven explained that a full one-quarter of Central Oregon’s residents are over 65. Of that group, at least 10,000 need some sort of help, with 8.4% of them classified as living in poverty. Be it housing, food insecurity, isolation or transportation issues.
