3rd Annual Antiques and Bling Sale

BejeweledIt’s not quite spring, but Sisters Kiwanis is thinking ahead — and asking folks in Sisters Country to start making donations for the fourth annual antique sale scheduled for Saturday, May 23, from 8am to 5pm, at the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Department Community Room.

This one-day event has become one of the organization’s best fund-raising efforts to fund scholarships to Sisters students.

A new addition to the sale this year will be a jewelry sale of costume, collectible, vintage and one-of-a-kind items, rhinestones, silver, gold and “bling.”

“We have added this new twist to our antique event, modeled after a similar sale, held yearly in Newport to benefit their food share program,” said Karen Keady. “They have generously shared their event history and outline of the proposal with Sisters Kiwanis.”

Keady, chairperson for the antique sale, will attend the Newport event in March for hands-on experience with the “be-jeweled” sale, which has historically raised thousands of dollars for that community.

The sale is promoted as a “green” fundraiser, and anything goes!

Kiwanis is accepting donations all year long of antiques, collectibles, and now jewelry — broken, seasonal, religious, costume, vintage, old watches, rings, cases boutique and fine jewelry.

Contact Keady at 541-480-1412 to drop-off donations or to arrange to have donations picked up.
