Sisters Kiwanis - About Us

We are an organization focused on supporting and improving the lives of kids in the local community. We do this through participation in service projects of LOCAL importance. In all programs, participation is the key word for service by members.

Kiwanis Meeting

We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at Noon

(actually we have a social time that starts at 11:30 so you can catch up with friends - so get there early!)

Meeting Location -

Sisters Community Recreation Center

Sisters, OR 97759

Weekly meetings are presentations on topics that are highly relevant to our Sisters community. It might be an update from the Sister's City Manager, or Mayor. It might be an organization that is looking for assistance, or one of the local schools that wants to engage us in a project. Each meeting is an opportunity to learn about our community including ways you can participate in shaping its direction.

Serving the Community for 4 Decades

Sisters Kiwanis has been involved in the development and support of many community organizations, including Scouts, Campfire, Little League, organized soccer, Habitat for Humanity, and Sisters Organization for Activities and Recreation to name just a few.

Kiwanis volunteers maintain and staff the community Food Bank, which provides emergency food boxes for local citizens in need.

The club has provided park-type benches throughout the city, and built a playground apparatus at the main city park in Sisters. The organization was a major contributor to the city’s new ball field complex.

Individual Kiwanis members have had leadership roles in many civic and cultural organizations in Sisters, helping provide continuity in the growth of the community through the Kiwanis motto, “Service to the community with an emphasis on youth.”
