Kiwanis awards career grant

Sisters Kiwanis recently awarded a career grant to Lori-Jean Pruitt. Her award brought the total Kiwanis grant awards past $75,000. Pruitt’s grant is perhaps the most unusual in the history of the program. Lori-Jean, with the aid of the Kiwanis grant, will be attending ATA Tattoo School in Salem. Read more at the Nugget News

Diedre Jones of Sisters was recently awarded a Kiwanis Opportunity Fund (COF) grant to pay for training as a medical radiology technician. Sisters Kiwanis awards grants to Sisters-Area adults who are seeking a career change.

Athletes take on Hoodoo Challenge

Thirty-eight bold souls took the Hoodoo Challenge and ran or walked the 13.1 miles of a half-marathon at the local ski resort. The event was sponsored by Sisters Kiwanis and served as a fundraiser for the club’s many service endeavors in Sisters. Read more at the Nugget News.

Greenhouse returns home to school
